The State Fair of Texas needs you, if you’re up for a seasonal job that lasts just 24 days.
Hiring for the 2022 season of the State Fair of Texas is now underway. Posting two dozen categories of positions that include a variety of customer service skills, professions and entry-level roles, the 501(3)(c) non-profit organization that celebrates all things Texas has announced that applications are currently being taken and invites the public to see what the fair has to offer.
Among the entry-level positions are gate attendants, parking lot attendants and cleaners. These positions ask for little more than customer service experience and the ability to endure the weather outdoors.
Skilled openings for maintenance workers, electricians and plumbers require specific qualifications in the fields.
The fair is also looking for public relations assistants, a payroll administrator, and a media coordinator — positions with very specific experience required.
Forklift drivers, data entry clerks, and security officers are also needed in addition to the large number of openings for cashiers and food and beverage personnel.
The State Fair of Texas runs from September 30 – October 23, 2022. Some positions begin on August 2, 2022. The full list of job openings is available on the State Fair of Texas Employment page.
